S. Sameera Iradat (pseudonym Bella J.K.) was born and lives in Karachi, Pakistan. The earlier part of her life and studies was spent in Africa, where the exquisite wilderness instilled in her an imaginative propensity and love for the rugged, fresh and the Original. Later, in Pakistan, she acquired a Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry and is now an experienced teacher who enjoys teaching Chemistry to O-Level students
When she is not teaching, her favourite pastime is reading and writing stories including novels, novellas and short stories. She writes in many genres including adventure, fantasy, suspense, mystery and romance, as well as poetry and non- fiction. One of her short stories entitled The Robin and The White Rose has been successfully published in the UK. She is an avid reader and admirer of classic English novels and takes interest in musing over certain self-help books on philosophy and spiritual enlightenment. Her favourite sport is soccer, and she loves to do a little bit of sketching, painting and cooking. |
Soon after Sarah Sohail moves to Islamabad with her parents, she finds herself gripped by strange dreams of a half-masked figure in a golden cloak, calling to her from a mysterious palace. On top of this, she starts hearing about strange events in the local area, as well as stories of a black-clad horseman called the Dark Evil that allegedly haunts the communities there.
To make Sarah’s life even more complicated, she’s beginning to fall in love with a boy she sees regularly from the train window, as she whizzes past him on his horse. She doesn’t know his name or anything about him, but she is desperate to find out. With the Dark Evil being seen more often, her dreams becoming ever-more vivid, and her love for the boy growing with every day, she decides to try and find out answers. However, will she manage to find them before it’s too late? |
