ELIZABETH BLAKE-THOMAS
Elizabeth Blake-Thomas has always been a writer, it just took some life changing moments to bring this to the forefront of her everyday life. She first started with her blog- Divorcee, Daughter and Dog. Then it all seemed to flow; the screenplays, the children books and the adult fiction.
Her life has often been likened to that of a movie and so what better industry to be in than the movies. She is a producer currently working on major feature films and a TV show that will be released in 2017. She believes she is 2 years away from the 10 year overnight success. She lives with her dog Chai, (because it’s her favourite drink) and her actress daughter Isabella, whom she home-schools (that’s the daughter, not the dog) in a little beach cottage in LA. She also runs a non-profit business that she set up with one of her best friends Tiffany Newton, which is currently part of "The Trailer Film Festival". She loves life and lives everyday as if it’s her last, making the most of all opportunities that she is exposed to. She works 24/7 and makes sure that her daughter sees this and understands its hard work and dedication that make things possible. Her biggest pet hate is when someone says they are going to do something but don’t. She gives the best hugs and her friends think they can sometimes be too tight. Her favourite season is summer, her favourite food is sushi and her favourite country to visit is The World. Her secret dream is to be a Bond girl in a Bond movie and be the singer at the piano. Once Gerard Butler told her she had a lovely bottom. |
Arabella
Arabella is a thirty-year-old mother of one who is happily married until she makes the grim discovery that her husband has been seeing another woman. Aware that Christmas is just around the corner and that they are not likely to spend another one together, she decides to keep her knowledge a secret, to ensure that their daughter has the best Christmas ever. The only way she can get through it though, is to make sure her husband thinks he's going insane.
Set in rural England and Los Angeles, Arabella goes on a physical and metaphorical journey of revenge which eventually results in her finding herself. From the snowy local village at Christmas time to the palm trees of Hollywood a year later, Arabella proves to be heart-warming comedy about mother who will do anything to protect her child whilst trying to keep her head above water in a newfound world as a single mother. |
