M.D.R. Gregg is a science fiction, fantasy and horror writer who started out as a poet, and has since found every kind of creative writing adventure calling to her. She has won two honorable mentions in national poetry contests and was discovered on Twitter with her micro poems and short story blog, Jane World. This is to be put into a short story collection. She is also a model, painter, and artist; Look for her shows in galleries. She feels writing saved her life more than once and her authenticity shows through in her non-fiction work as well as her fiction. She currently resides in the foothills of Denver, Colorado, where the regular mountain view and fresh air inspires her daily.
Transient State is her debut novel and she calls it her university of science fiction. This work also has a subliminal message, and demonstrates the alienation, loneliness and frustration she felt as a person who is on the autistic spectrum, showing her plight as she tries to understand and live in the neuro-typical world. She now thinks this is her truest blessing; to see the world so differently. Growing up with learning disabilities has only made her more determined to master communication and storytelling through writing. |
